Manchester City have been linked with a move for Borussia Dortmund star Giovanni Reyna recently and if he were to join the Citizens, he could perhaps prove to be their next David Silva.

According to 90min, City are prepared to bid over £100 million to bring Erling Haaland and Reyna to the Eithad, although the report suggests that the USA international would likely stay with the Bundesliga side for another year as part of the deal.

Whilst City perhaps feel that they already have the heir to Silva’s throne in Phil Foden, the Englishman has featured on the wing regularly this season, whereas Reyna has primarily played in a central-attacking-midfield role for Dortmund in his career so far.

The 18-year-old has contributed an impressive three goals and four assists in 21 Bundesliga appearances this season, averaging a solid 6.86 rating as a result.

During Silva’s time with City, he would manage 77 goals and 141 assists in 436 appearances, often preferring to set up a teammate with the final pass rather than scoring himself.

Foden however, has 26 goals and 18 assists in 106 appearances for Pep Guardiola’s side, which suggests that he is more of a goalscoring winger than a creative attacking-midfielder like Silva was.

Therefore, Reyna could prove to be the natural heir to Silva at City should Txiki Begiristain convince him to make the switch to England this summer.

Certainly, the £34.2 million-rated wonderkid looks to have an extremely bright future in the game, having managed five goals and eight assists in his first 49 appearances for BVB.

Last season saw Silva average 1.7 shots, 1.8 key passes and 1.2 dribbles per game for City, whilst Reyna has averaged 1.1 shots, 1.1 key passes and 1.6 dribbles per game this season in the Bundesliga, suggesting that the teenager is already close to emulating the same sort of stats the legendary Spaniard managed with the Citizens.

Therefore, considering Reyna is only going to get better as he gets more experience, Txiki should seal a swoop for the 18-year-old in the summer transfer window, as it certainly looks as if he has the potential to become world-class.

وتابع: “أرشح أيضًا السنغال والمغرب، ومن الممكن أن تتفوق المنتخبات التي تأهلت إلى المرحلة النهائية من تصفيات كأس العالم 2022”.

وأضاف في النهاية: “السنغال بإمكانياتها الهائلة، تونس باستقرارها، شباب منتخب مالي، مواهب نيجيريا وكذلك الكاميرون مع العلم أن الأخير سيلعب على أرضه أمام جمهوره”.

Off the back of an impressive first-half to the season, Leeds United head into their FA Cup third round clash against Crawley knowing that a cup run could well be the icing on the cake this year.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side have more than delivered on their minimum objective of trying to stay in the division, and actually find themselves just six points off the top four at the moment.

The clash against Crawley on Sunday afternoon will give the Leeds boss a chance to go one better than he did last year, when he saw his side exit at the same stage when they lost to Arsenal.

Bielsa will no doubt look to give some of his key first-team stars a rest, and with that in mind, below is a look at how the Whites might line up.

In goal, regular number one Illan Meslier is likely to be rested with Kiko Casilla coming in to take his place in between the sticks.

The back-four is likely to see significant changes, with Bielsa revealing in his pre-match press conference that both Liam Cooper and Diego Llorente could be available to play.

The Leeds boss did suggest that Cooper was in more of a condition to feature, and that could see him partner Pascal Struijk in the back-line, with Luke Ayling given the afternoon off.

Either side, Stuart Dallas, and 21-year-old starlet Leif Davis may get the chance to impress.

Kalvin Phillips’ suspension for the game against Brighton means there will be absolutely no reason for him not to start in the cup, and he could be joined by Pablo Hernandez and Jamie Shackleton.

Further forward, Helder Costa and Ian Poveda may come in from the side-lines to stake their claim for a first-team spot, whilst Bielsa may wish to unleash summer signing Rodrigo in the number nine role.

In midfield, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain makes his first start of the season after recovering from injury, alongside mainstays Jordan Henderson and Georginio Wijanldum.

Finally, there are two changes in attack as Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino come back in, as Klopp has suggested in his pre-match conference that Diogo Jota picked up a knock in midweek, so he’s another that should be rested if possible.

This is a must-win game for the Reds if they want to keep the pressure at the top of the table but considering the importance of next week’s game at Anfield against Tottenham, Klopp must rest players where he can against Fulham, in the hope that his players can still deliver three points.

وقال يوسف في تصريحات تلفزيونية بفضائية “صدى البلد” عبر برنامج “الماتش”: “موقفي مع الكومي يسيء لنادي الإسماعيلي ولا أريد تذكره”.

وأضاف: “مازال لدي مستحقات متأخرة لدي الإسماعيلي بجانب قيمة الشرط الجزائي، ونائب رئيس الدراويش وعد بصرف مستحقاتي وقال لي، كلمتي واحدة”.

وواصل: “الإسماعيلي يحتاج للدعم بشدة، والحل الوحيد للإسماعيلي هو التعاقد مع 6 أو 8 صفقات مكلفة جدًا في يناير المقبل، وإصابتي بفيروس كورونا منعتني من الحصول على وقت كاف للعمل مع الفريق”.

أصدر الاتحاد الفرنسي لكرة القدم بيانًا رسميًا بشأن إصابة اللاعب بول بوجبا خلال تواجده في معسكر منتخب فرنسا، خلال فترة التوقف الدولي الحالي.

Leeds United may be on the verge of signing Illan Meslier to a long-term deal, but they appear to have their eyes on another goalkeeping option, according to emerging reports.

AlAireLibre claim that Marcelo Bielsa is lining up a move for Manchester City veteran Claudio Bravo, who is out of contract at the end of the current campaign.

The 37-year-old has won the Premier League, two League Cups and two Community Shields since he joined the Citizens in 2016.

His deal at the Etihad Stadium is reportedly a whopping £80k-per-week, which puts him earning more than first-choice stopper Edersonm Phil Foden and the same as Joao Cancelo, as per Spotrac.

Repeat mistake

This feels all too similar to the swoop for former Real Madrid man Kiko Casilla, in the end, it has cost the club £40k-a-week in wages and it probably hasn’t been worth it.

Throughout the season he was lambasted for mistakes before it culminated in an eight-match ban for racial abuse, leaving many, including The Athletic’s Phil Hay, believing his time is done at Elland Road.

During his absence, Meslier stepped up and proved worthy of the number one jersey, managing to keep six clean sheets in nine appearances, per Transfermarkt.

Andrea Radrizzani and Victor Orta must be smart with their transfer business this summer as Leeds simply cannot afford to follow the same path of the likes of Fulham and Norwich in recent seasons.

Their move for Casilla was a financial gamble, just the same as it was with Jean-Kevin Augustin and his obligatory £19m fee.

A move for Bravo just doesn’t make any financial or footballing sense whatsoever.
