أكد المدير الفني لفريق آرسنال، ميكيل أرتيتا، أن فريقه قادر على المنافسة على لقب دوري أبطال أوروبا هذا العام، وذلك عقب تأهله إلى الادوار الاقصائية (الدور الـ16) من منافسات البطولة.

وحل نادي آرسنال اليوم ضيفاً على فريق آيندهوفن، ضمن منافسات الجولة السادسة من دور المجموعات لدوري أبطال أوروبا، على ملعب “فيليبس” والتي انتهت بالتعادل بهدف لكل منهما.

وبهذا التعادل، ارتقى رصيد آرسنال إلى النقطة 13 في صدارة ترتيب المجموعة الثانية بدوري أبطال أوروبا، ووصل آيندهوفن إلى النقطة 9 في المركز الثاني، ليعبر الفريقان سوياً إلى منافسات الدور الـ16 من دوري أبطال أوروبا.

وقال ميكيل أرتيتا في تصريحات صحفية عقب مباراة آيندهوفن:”ما رأيته هو أننا قادرون على المنافسة على هذا المستوى وتصدرنا المجموعة وهو أمر مهم للغاية”.

وأضاف أرتيتا:”نعم، كانت مباراة قمة، أجرينا 8 تغييرات، وكانت هناك لحظات جيدة، وكانت هناك لحظات افتقرنا فيها إلى هذا التماسك والتوقيت خاصة في الطريقة التي ضغطنا بها ضد فريق جيد حقًا”.

وأردف :”أنا حقًا أحب أسلوب الفريق في كل مباراة، والطريقة التي نحاول بها اللعب والسيطرة على المنافسين، لدينا بعض النتائج الكبيرة والخبرات الكبيرة أيضًا”.

وتابع :”يجب أن نكون سعداء حقًا، ونغلق هذا الفصل، ونتركه حتى فبراير، وعندما يبدأ هذا الفصل سنكون في أفضل مكان ممكن للتنافس ضد فريق كبير آخر”.

وتحدث ميكيل أرتيتا عن سبب عدم مشاركة اللاعبين الشباب ضد آيندهوفن :”لا أعتقد أن هذا كان السياق الصحيح، حيث أجريت 8 تغييرات بالفعل لإدخالهم في مواجهة فريق لم يخسر هنا منذ عامين تقريبًا، لم أكن أعتقد أن هذه كانت اللحظة المناسبة لمشاركة اللاعبين الشباب”.

Na noite deste sábado, às 19h, o Corinthians tem uma pedreira pela frente em sua jornada pelas primeiras posições no Campeonato Brasileiro. Em Porto Alegre, o Timão encara o Grêmio – um de seus adversários mais complicados na era dos pontos corridos do futebol nacional, iniciada em 2003.

Quatro vezes campeão nacional no período (2005, 2011, 2015 e 2017), o Corinthians tem dificuldades quando enfrenta o Imortal, seja dentro ou fora de seus domínios. Ao todo, em 29 jogos, o Timão conseguiu apenas dez vitórias contra os gaúchos, com 13 derrotas e seis empates, o que garante apenas 41% de aproveitamento diante o Tricolor.

Para se ter uma ideia do desequilíbrio do confronto, nos últimos onze jogos entre gaúchos e paulistas, o Corinthians saiu vitorioso em apenas duas partidas. Fora isso, a última vez que o Timão conseguiu furar a defesa gremista foi no dia 25 de junho de 2017, ainda pelo primeiro turno do Campeonato Brasileiro daquela temporada.

Apesar das dificuldades em enfrentar o semifinalista da Copa Libertadores em sua arena, o Corinthians vai para a partida confiante. Afinal, a equipe vem de uma sequência de três vitórias seguidas e está invicta no segundo turno do Campeonato Brasileiro.

O Timão entra nesta rodada, a 23ª do torneio nacional, na 4ª colocação e com 41 pontos ganhos – quatro a mais que o Internacional, o primeiro fora do grupo que garante vaga direta na Copa Libertadores do ano que vem. O atacante Vagner Love, artilheiro do Corinthians na temporada, com 12 gols, comentou sobre a importância de conseguir um bom resultado na Arena do Grêmio.

– Tem peso grande vencer do Grêmio aqui (em Porto Alegre), te dá confiança para a sequência do trabalho. Jogar aqui é muito difícil, mas vencer nos deixa numa condição boa, mantém no G-4 e pode nos distanciar de outras equipes – afirmou o camisa 9 do Timão.

Apesar da escalação não ter sido anunciada por Fábio Carille, a tendência é de que o Corinthians entre em campo com Cássio; Fagner, Manoel, Gil e Danilo Avelar; Ralf e Júnior Urso (Ramiro); Pedrinho, Sornoza e Clayson; Vagner Love.

Por conta da visita à sede da Federação Paulista de Futebol, na zona oeste da capital paulista, o técnico do Timão não comandou a atividade no CT Joaquim Grava.

Por conta da ausência de Carille, a reapresentação do Corinthians após o empate sem gols com o Grêmio, no último sábado, foi supervisionada pelos auxiliares Leandro da Silva e Fabinho. وعندما سُئل عما إذا كان سعيدًا بنتيجة القرعة، أجاب دي لورينتيس في تصريحات نشرها موقع “توتو ميركاتو” الإيطالي: “إلى حد كبير، برشلونة فريق قوي جدًا، أنه فريق يشبهنا”.

وستكون هذه هي المرة السابعة التي يلتقي فيها نابولي وبرشلونة في مباراة رسمية، لكن الفريق الإيطالي لم يفز في أي من مواجهاته الست السابقة أمامهم.

برشلونة حقق الفوز في أربع مباريات من المواجهات الست السابقة، وتعادل الفريقان في مباراتين.

وكانت آخر مباراة جمعت الفريقين في تصفيات الأدوار الإقصائية للدوري الأوروبي بموسم 2021-2022، وانتهت مباراة الذهاب بالتعادل 1-1، ثم فاز برشلونة 4-2 في نابولي في مباراة الإياب.

وتقام مباراة الذهاب بين نابولي وبرشلونة في دوري أبطال أوروبا 2024 يوم الأربعاء 24 فبراير بإيطاليا، بينما ستقام مباراة الإياب في إسبانيا يوم الثلاثاء 12 مارس.

Kent opening batsman Daniel Bell-Drummond struck his second County Championship century in five days to give his winless, Division Two basement side, a solid start to their four-day clash with Glamorgan.The 21-year-old, fresh from his 103 against Leicestershire in Canterbury on Wednesday, mastered a very different pitch to post a season’s best 123 in Kent’s first-day total of 330 for 8 from 95.1 overs.Batting first on an unusually green pitch that had been cut to 5mm, rather than the 3mm norm here, Bell-Drummond soon looked at home on the surface to feature in a season’s best opening stand with Joe Denly.The pair added 68 before Denly became the sole casualty of the first session. Fencing at a Michael Hogan leg-cutter, he edged to third slip to be caught low down by Jacques Rudolph.Bell-Drummond joined forces with Brendan Nash to add a further 66 either side of lunch before Nash perished during an excellent seven-over stint of 1 for 12 from the Nackington Road End. Aiming to drive on the up at a length ball, the left-hander edged to the keeper and trudged off castigating his own shot selection.Sam Northeast, Kent’s acting captain in the absence of Rob Key who asked to be omitted following a run of poor form stretching back to last summer, followed soon after for 8. Having hit half-centuries in Kent’s opening three fixtures, Northeast played around a Craig Meschede off-cutter and went lbw to make it 145 for 3.Fabian Cowdrey, Key’s replacement in the home batting order, had 14 to his name when he drove loosely against David Lloyd and feathered a regulation catch into the gloves of Mark Wallace.The hosts re-grouped either side of the tea break through Bell-Drummond and Darren Stevens, with a fifth-wicket stand worth 85. Bell Drummond pulled a loose one from Meschede for four to the ropes at midwicket for a 16th boundary that hoisted his 249-ball century.He jumped for joy and then removed his helmet to accept the acclaim from the crowd and players’ balcony, but was soon removing his helmet for a very different reason after being hit on the head by an accidental beamer from Lloyd.Though the delivery was called a no-ball by umpire Nick Cook, Bell-Drummond was clearly shaken by events and only continued after treatment and with a replacement helmet. He was out soon after, leg before when half-forward in defence to the second delivery with the second new ball from Hogan.Glamorgan continued their fightback with gusto thereafter by picking up three more Kent scalps in the final 12 overs of the day.Stevens, having just recorded a breezy, chanceless 50 from 75 balls, fell into Rudolph’s leg theory trap by glancing one off his hip from Graham Wagg into the hands of the Glamorgan captain who had just stationed himself at backward short leg.Sam Billings’ cameo stay for 26 ended when he skied a Meschede bouncer to Chris Cooke at gully, then, in the day’s final over, Calum Haggett fenced at one from the excellent Hogan to again pick out Rudolph in the cordon. Hogan, the pick of Glamorgan’s attack, finished the day with 4 for 53.

– Temos que premiar o departamento médico, que conseguiu acelerar a volta do Pato. Vale ressaltar que as pessoas que trabalham lá são ótimas. O Doutor Sanchez eu conheço há muito tempo, os fisioterapeutas são muito bons, o departamento de fisiologia é muito bom. Às vezes as lesões acontecem e a gente quer achar culpado, mas não tem culpado. Ninguém sabe ao certo por que machuca. Às vezes o jogador não falou que estava sentindo, às vezes é por conta do treinamento. A gente apontar para o departamento médico é uma injustiça muito grande. O São Paulo tem profissionais muito qualificados – disse o técnico Fernando Diniz, ainda sem descartar Juanfran e Pablo para domingo.

Ele estava com uma dor no adutor já, a gente sabia da dor, mas falando com o jogador e com o DM achamos que reunia condições para jogar. Vamos aguardar para ver se ele tem condições de jogar contra o Corinthians.O Juanfran a gente preservou. Ele foi falar comigo, estava incomodado, o Pablo já tinha saído, então a gente resolveu tirar para não ter algum problema e ter que tirar por lesão. Acho que o Juanfran não deve ser problema.

‘Some areas in my action where I can improve’ – Shakib

Shakib Al Hasan has said that consulting his old coach Nazmul Abedeen helped him tweak his action on the third day of the Fatullah Test against India. During the course of his four-wicket haul on Friday, Shakib became the first Bangladesh bowler to take 100 Test wickets at home. Abedeen, currently the BCB’s national game development manager, was Shakib’s coach at the BKSP during his formative years, and the allrounder has been known to get in touch with Abedeen often over technical matters.”I was trying to change my action a bit,” Shakib said. “I had a chat with my coach last night. I wasn’t bowling well in the last 3-4 Test matches. So he told me about some of the areas that I can look into and I was trying to do that. That helped me a lot. There are some areas in my action that I can improve a lot and then I can be a better bowler.”On the first day of this Test, Shakib bowled nine overs on the first day but like it was in the Tests against Pakistan, he could not extract much out of the wicket. He, however, looked like he was trying to bowl with a slightly open-chested action, taking it from wide of the crease. He also was not darting the ball in as he did in the Khulna Test in April. His effort to flight the ball was visible, something that was missing in his previous three Tests when he took one wicket each.Shakib said that he took the advice on Thursday night and began applying it in the middle, which meant he had a mixed third day, finishing with figures of 4 for 105 in 24.3 overs.”I am not completely confident as of yet. If I work with the new technique, it will be much better. Some overs I felt that I bowled really well. But it went back in the latter overs. It was a mixed performance. Actually because I didn’t do too many drills, I just spoke to my coach last night and tried to apply whatever he said today. So it was difficult for me. I have to work on the techniques and work with it. It will get better.”Bangladesh were glad that Shakib worked through the changed action, as he provided the day’s first breakthrough, drawing Shikhar Dhawan into a false shot in the 12th over of the day, ending in a simple caught and bowled dismissal. He cut one through Rohit Sharma’s defenses in the next over, before trapping M Vijay leg-before later in the afternoon and getting lucky with the wicket of Ajinkya Rahane.Shakib said that with the wickets falling, the Bangladesh batsmen were getting mentally ready to bat after tea. But the third rain interruption and the eventual calling off of the day’s play meant that the home side were now essentially looking at two days of survival.”Maybe had they scored a few more runs I would have expected them to declare but honestly I think it’s a difficult situation for them as well. I am sure they will try to take a chance because they have scored almost 470 and they don’t have anything to lose,” Shakib said.”At the same time, we have to score runs. We have to bat well in six sessions. We are aware of the situation. And the batsmen are mentally ready. In fact, we were thinking they would declare right after Tea. So we are ready that we might get a tough period and it will come for sure. If we can survive that period it will be good for us.”
