Santos e Vasco empataram ontem por 1 a 1, no Pacaembu, e agora cada equipe disputou 26 partidas (no Brasil, isso tem sido bem difícil, você sabe). Nenhum dos dois olha mais para a parte de cima da tabela. O Vasco, bem mais preocupado, vinha de vitória e, com o empate, consegue olhar com algum otimismo para o futuro. São 29 pontos, um a mais que a Chapecoense, primeiro time na zona do rebaixamento. O Santos ainda tem lá seus sonhos: quem sabe chegar ao sexto lugar e alcançar uma vaga na Libertadores? O problema é que agora a distância é de nove pontos e, com 33 somados, o Peixe está mais perto é do Z4. Nada indica que o Santos, com o futebol que vem jogando, vá flertar com a Série B. Convém, no entanto, ter cuidado. O Vasco, bem, as últimas duas partidas foram promissoras, Alberto Valentim parece estar encontrando um caminho. Mas o risco ainda é enorme. Na partida de ontem, o alvinegro abriu o placar aos 44 do primeiro tempo, com Diego Pituca, e o Cruz-Maltino empatou aos 34 do segundo, com Andrés Ríos. But they also owed much to a seventh-wicket stand of 31 off 28 balls between Rob Taylor and Will Jones, who came together after the Foxes lost three wickets in the 29th over.Sarwan and Ned Eckersley were both bowled by David Lucas and Matt Boyce was run out, leaving the Foxes needing 29 runs off the final two overs.They managed 13 off the penultimate over but still required another 16 off the last from Lucas. But Taylor smashed a waist high no-ball to the boundary off the first delivery and the batsmen then scampered another six runs during the over leaving them with two to win off the final ball, which Taylor cover drove to the boundary to clinch a remarkable victory.Put in to bat after the start had been delayed by 90 minutes, the Royals posted a challenging 217 for six, with Phil Hughes playing the anchor role, scoring 57 off 58 balls and sharing a stand of 77 with his captain, Daryl Mitchell.Moeen Ali and Vikram Solanki gave the Royals a fine start putting on 55 in the first 10 overs, Ali hitting 40 off 35 balls and Solanki 34 off 35. But it was Mitchell who gave the innings real impetus with a knock of 44 off 29 balls.The Royals scored 57 off the last five overs to set the Foxes a tough chase. Taylor was the pick of the home bowlers with two for 26 off six overs.But it was Sarwan who emerged as the Foxes hero with his stunning innings that included two sixes and nine fours, before he was bowled off an outside edge by Lucas.Greg Smith made a vital 34 off 42 balls, and Taylor then blasted a quick-fire 22 at the death to snatch a dramatic victory.

كشفت تقارير صحفية بريطانية، أن نادي إيفرتون يواجه عقوبة خصم النقاط وامكانية الهبوط للدرجة الثانية من الدوري الإنجليزي، بسبب خرق قواعد اللعب المالي النظيف.

خسر إيفرتون ما يقارب 370 مليون جنية إسترليني على مدار الثلاثة مواسم الماضية، وينافس هذا الموسم على البقاء في الدوري الإنجليزي الممتاز.

صحيفة “ذا صن” البريطانية، أكدت بأن رابطة الدوري الإنجليزي الممتاز، أحالت نادي إيفرتون للجنة مستقبله على خلفية اتهامات تخص مخالفة النادي لقواعد اللعب المالي النظيف تعود للموسم الماضي.

وأشارت التقارير، أن قوانين الرابطة تتيح للأندية خسائر بقيمة 105 مليون على مدار ثلاث سنوات كحد أقصى، ولكن إيفرتون وصل لأكثر من الضعف.

ويعتبر إيفرتون هو ثاني فريق في الدوري الإنجليزي الممتاز توجه له أصابع الاتهام، بخرق القواعد المالية بعد مانشستر سيتي الذي يتحقق معه الآن.

وشددت الصحيفة على أن العقوبات التي قد يتلقاها إيفرتون، يمكن أن تكون خصم من النقاط وتصل إلى الهبوط للدرجات الأدنى في إنجلترا.

Liberado para resolver problemas pessoais na última terça-feira, o meio-campista Nenê voltou a treinar no São Paulo. Is there a cleaner striker of a ball in English cricket than Craig Kieswetter? Those who watched him make 112 not out on the second day of the England Lions game against Australia A at Edgbaston might find it hard to believe so. Others, of course, might advance the claims of Matt Prior, but that is merely where Kieswetter’s problems start if he wants to break into the Test side. Prior’s keeping and his ability to bat in the longest format make him something of a mighty oak door barring Kieswetter’s way into the dining-room where the world’s best cricketers enjoy five-day feasts.In the meantime, all he can do is bat in the gloriously dominant style he displayed to the pathetically small Birmingham crowd on Thursday afternoon. In company with the redoubtable Chris Woakes he shared an unbroken sixth-wicket partnership of 141 in 23 overs as Eoin Morgan’s side recovered from 99 for 5 at four o’clock to finish just 68 runs shy of Australia A’s first innings score when bad light ended play over an hour early. Indeed, rain and poor light meant that only 57 overs were possible on Thursday but the quality of the cricket on view made the reduction seem almost insignificant.The excellence of Kieswetter’s century was enhanced by the quality of the bowlers whom he ultimately took apart and by the situation of the game when he went in to bat. Replying to Australia’s declaration on their overnight 308 for 9, England Lions were 46 for 3 as Kieswetter strode out to join Morgan. When the captain lost his off bail to Nathan Coulter-Nile seven runs later the home side were imperilled by embarrassment, even in a badly rain-affected game.For the morning session was dominated by the tourists, although it comes as almost a disappointment to discover that Coulter-Nile is merely a Western Australian seamer. He sounds like the sort of character who wrestles tigers for a living and writes books with titles such as Twenty Years Down the Limpopo. In any event, he certainly explored the defensive techniques of some Lions yesterday morning and found them in distinctly under-developed territory. Of no one was this truer than Morgan, whose airy push into the off side was well beaten by Coulter-Nile’s nip back off the seam.he had also begun the clatter of wickets when he induced debutant Varun Chopra to top edge a pull to square leg, where Liam Davis caught the simplest of catches. The only player to bat with much poise in the first session was Joe Root, who hit three felicitous fours before he was caught down the leg side for 24 by wicketkeeper Tim Paine off Mitchell Johnson. That, though, was the second time in three innings that Root has fallen to Johnson in this fashion and it suggests a technical deficiency he must address if he is to make the most of his many talents.Root’s departure with the total on 30 was followed 25 minutes later by that of Samit Patel who was lbw for 2 when pushing half forward to Jackson Bird. All of which left the Lions’ looking distinctly woebegone at lunch. It was probably fortuitous for the home side that heavy lunchtime rain delayed the restart by 80 minutes.Initially, at least, Kieswetter was cautious as the three Australia A seamers continued to pose a threat in the afternoon session. His 46-run stand with Ben Stokes occupied nearly 17 overs, during which Stokes nearly ran himself out and the tourists made increasingly expert use of reverse swing. This latter stratagem was unintentionally kyboshed by Kieswetter straight driving a ball from offspinner Nathan Lyon into a puddle over the rope. The replacement ball did not help the trio of seamers half as much, even though Bird claimed Stokes’ wicket when he was caught at the wicket pulling too early.The rest of the day belonged to Kieswetter and also to Woakes, who once again made a valuable contribution to this short series. By the close, though, even his stylish 47 not out had been overshadowed by the Kieswetter’s explosion of strokeplay after he had reached a relatively circumspect fifty off 80 balls. Unbeaten on 71 at tea, Kieswetter drove Bird for two fours and smote him over midwicket for six in the over after the resumption, all off the front foot. Then Coulter-Nile was driven for two boundaries off successive balls, before a flat-batted pull off Bird brought up Kieswetter’s century off 116 balls, the second fifty coming up in 36 alarmingly violent deliveries.The Australian attack’s figures, which had looked so impressive at lunch, had taken on a more dismal aspect by the end of the day. Coulter-Nile’s 19 overs cost 70 runs while Bird went for 65 in 16. Special treatment was reserved for Lyon on whom the pair of England Lions feasted, taking 47 runs off his eight overs. Some might label such behaviour nothing more than cricketing cannibalism, but it was still magnificent entertainment.

A derrota para o Cruzeiro na final da Copa do Brasil abalou os corintianos que imaginavam fechar o ano com um título, ainda que o adversário fosse favorito. No entanto, não há muito tempo para lamentações, já que o Brasileirão está em jogo e o perigo do rebaixamento ainda não foi afastado. Além disso, os números da temporada não são bons, e a quantidade de derrotas em 2018 igualou a do ano de 2007, marcado pela queda para a Série B.

Ao todo, até aqui, em jogos oficiais, o Timão foi derrotado 23 vezes em 63 partidas, o que o torna, ao lado do Vitória, a equipe de Série A que mais perdeu no ano. Paraná e Vasco estão logo atrás com 22. Em 2017, para se ter uma ideia, o Corinthians foi o time que menos saiu derrotado: somente dez vezes em 68 duelos. Não é à toa que venceu dois títulos, inclusive o do Brasileirão.

Definitivamente a fase não é boa, mesmo sendo vice-campeão de um torneio difícil como a Copa do Brasil. Desde 2007, ano do rebaixamento para a Série B do Brasileiro, o Timão não perdia tantos jogos e o retrospecto recente dos últimos duelos colabora para essa conta aumentar. O réves para o Cruzeiro, na última quarta-feira, foi o quarto consecutivo, além de ter sido o quinto confronto sem vencer. Até o momento, o Alvinegro não havia ficado tantas partidas em jejum em 2018.

A última vez que o Corinthians comemorou uma vitória foi justamente na classificação para semifinal da Copa do Brasil, quando bateu o Flamengo por 2 a 1, na Arena. De lá para cá foram quatro derrotas (Flamengo, Cruzeiro, Santos e Cruzeiro) e um empate (América-MG). Sem contar que o gol de Jadson foi o primeiro desde o gol de Pedrinho, contra o Fla, que colocou o time na decisão.

Contra o Vitória, às 16h, no próximo domingo, por coincidência, o Timão terá um tira-teima para saber qual é a equipe que mais foi derrotada em 2018, ou se o duelo terminará em empate. O fato é que os corintianos precisam retomar o caminho das vitórias e evitar as derrotas se quiserem se livrar logo do perigo de mais um rebaixamento.

Após 29 rodadas disputadas do Brasileirão, o Corinthians está na 11ª colocação e tem 35 pontos, apenas quatro a mais do que o Ceará, que ocupa a 17ª posição, a primeira da zona da degola.

Three wickets apiece for Sohail Tanvir and Saeed Ajmal tore the guts out of a Ruhuna Royals run chase and handed Kandurata Warriors a 42-run victory, their second in three nights in Pallekele. Chasing a modest 142, Ruhuna were winded by Tanvir’s opening spell, before Ajmal suffocated the innings during the middle overs despite a short-lived surge from Shahid Afridi. They also suffered two unnecessary run-outs, and now face the possibility of finishing outside the top four after having begun one of the tournament favourites.Tanvir was superb with the new ball, as he has been all tournament, as he fired in three venomous overs of swing that yielded him two wickets and cost only three runs. Finch was undone by an inswinger that caught his edge third ball, before Tanvir surprised a struggling Prasanna Jayardene with one that rose sharply and induced a tame bunt that lobbed a simple catch to short cover. In between the wickets, the batsmen could barely get bat to ball.Ajmal then assumed the mantle of torturing the Ruhuna batsmen, producing his best spell of the tournament. Only Pakistan teammate Shahid Afridi picked his doosra, but even when bowling offbreaks, Ajmal had the batsmen doing just what he wanted. With a short fine leg and a long-leg in place, Ajmal darted one down the legside to Daniel Harris, who promptly accommodated Kandurata’s plan by turning it into the hands of Thisara Perera. Ajmal then suffered two mighty sixes at the hands of Afridi, but aborted his rampage with a straighter one shortly after. No. 10 Jerome Taylor couldn’t help a heave across the line late in the innings, and missed a ball that would have hit leg stump, and Ajmal claimed his third wicket.Earlier, Kandurata’s innings had stuttered to 142 all out in 19.2 overs after their batsmen had failed to build any partnerships of substance. Offspinner Dilruwan Perera nabbed three wickets, and seamer Imran Khan took two. Jeevantha Kulatunga and Kithuruwan Withanage were the only batsmen to pass 30, and without Tanvir’s hitting at the death, the Warriors may never have passed 140.

واستطرد: “وفي ولايتي الثانية مجلس الإسماعيلي كانت لديه نية في رحيلي، وكنت أعمل في النادي من 10 صباحًا حتى الـ7 مساءً، وساعدت بعض اللاعبين ماديًا ولكني استرددت جميع أموالي وحصلت على كافة مستحقاتي”.

وأوضح: “الفترة الحالية الاسوأ في تاريخ الكرة المصرية وهناك ناد كبير دفع أكثر من 16 مليون جنيه عمولات فقط لوكلاء اللاعبين”.

وأضاف لاعب الزمالك الأسبق: “أوافق على مقولة الأهلي فوق الجميع والخطيب و ياسين منصور قاما بالتفاوض معي للانضمام إلى القلعة الحمراء في وقت سابق”.

واختتم: “أنا لدي قناعة أن مقولة الأهلي فوق الجميع صحيحة وهذا المبدأ هو سر نجاح النادي وتفضيل الجماعة على الأشخاص”.

A 32ª rodada do Campeonato Brasileiro começa neste sábado e um confronto em especial interessa à torcida rubro-negra: o clássico entre Santos e Palmeiras, na Vila Belmiro, às 19h. Afinal, o Flamengo tem quatro pontos a menos que o líder Verdão e só entra em campo domingo, contra o São Paulo, no Morumbi. “Secar” o concorrente pelo título, porém, não é assunto entre elenco e técnico.

Dorival Júnior, antes do treino desta quinta-feira no Ninho do Urubu, afirmou que o trabalho da comissão técnica e jogadores só visa o próximo adversário, deixando de lado os demais candidatos à conquista do Brasileirão. O técnico reforçou a confiança que tem no time e na evolução apresentada dia a dia.

– É o que menos fazemos. Perdemos a possibilidade do confronto (direto), o que seria muito importante. Reconhecemos a capacidade do Palmeiras e a diferença considerável de pontos em relação ao número de jogos que faltam, mas digo que acreditamos muito naquilo que estamos fazendo, nos preocupamos apenas em fazer a nossa parte. É em cima disso que estamos trabalhando. Não me preocupo com nada a não ser como o nosso adversário futuro e que estejamos muito bem no momento da partida. É o principal ponto.

Ajustes a serem feitos após o empate com o Palmeiras, no Rio

Não devemos encarar como um tropeço (o empate com o Palmeiras). Primeiro, enfrentamos o líder do campeonato, jogamos uma partida franca, buscando o gol a todo momento, querendo jogar. Tivemos procurando o gol adversário na maioria do tempo, não nos entregamos e a torcida reconheceu isso. Fico muito satisfeito de ver essa evolução que a equipe apresenta, a confiança com que entra em campo e como desenvolve um futebol de nível. Isso tem acontecido em todos os jogos e espero que continue assim. Não temos outro caminho. Temos que buscar os melhores resultados sempre, focados única e exclusivamente na próxima rodada. Agora é o São Paulo, que merece toda atenção, respeito e preparação para que a gente faça uma boa partida.

Quedas de Palmeiras e Grêmio na Libertadores e impacto no Brasileirão

Tivemos duas decisões importantes, que fizeram jus ao momento das quatro equipes envolvidas na disputa. Todos aguardávamos por uma decisão entre Palmeiras e Grêmio, de repente, mas temos que respeitar e reconhecer a capacidade que River e Boca têm.

Agora, as equipes voltam-se 100% ao Brasileiro. O Palmeiras já vinha, com o grande elenco que tem, e o Grêmio se virando com Renato e, também, com um elenco muito forte. O campeonato ganha posições positivas em momento final e se torna ainda mais complicado para quem está buscando pontos.
