أكد حارس الفريق الأول لكرة القدم بنادي تشيلسي ومنتخب السنغال، إدوارد ميندي، على أهمية الفوز ببطولة كأس أمم إفريقيا 2021 أكثر من التتويج بلقب دوري أبطال أوروبا في الموسم الماضي.

ونجح ميندي في الفوز بالبطولة مع السنغال والتي كانت تنتظرها طوال تاريخها الكروي في 6 فبراير الماضي على حساب مصر بركلات الجزاء الترجيحية بنتيجة 4-2.

وأجرى السنغالي الدولي حوارًا مع مجلة “Onze Mondial” الفرنسية، وقال بابتسامة: “نعم، قلت إن الفوز ببطولة كأس أمم إفريقيا كان أقوى من الفوز ببطولة دوري أبطال أوروبا”.

وتابع: “بعض الناس قد يختلفون معي، لكن بالفعل، هذه الجملة بناءً على مشاعري، لذلك لا يمكن لأحد أن يشعر بما أشعر به بعد الفوز بتلك البطولة”.

وأضاف: “لقد فزت بكأس أمم إفريقيا ودوري أبطال أوروبا، لذا يمكنني التحدث، يمكنني القول إن هناك فرقًا، عندما أقول إن البطولة الإفريقية مع السنغال قد قشعرتني أكثر بعشر مرات، هذه كانت مشاعري، هذا ما حدث حقًا”.

وواصل: “عندما فزت ببطولة دوري أبطال أوروبا، كنا في فترة انتشار فيروس كورونا، لم نقم بأي احتفالات ولم نحتفل مع جماهيرنا، لذلك هذا مهم أيضًا”.

وأتم: “عندما ترى ما حدث في داكار بعد كأس أمم إفريقيا، أستطيع أن أقول إنها أقوى عشر مرات من دوري أبطال أوروبا”.

Chelsea’s £40m asking price for Tammy Abraham puts him ‘out of reach’ for Newcastle United, according to The Athletic’s David Ornstein.

The lowdown

Ornstein reported that it is ‘very likely’ that the striker will push for a move away from Chelsea in the summer transfer window.

He has played just 230 minutes since Thomas Tuchel took over from Frank Lampard at the end of January, while talks over a new deal at Stamford Bridge have stalled (via The Guardian).

Newcastle were one of the clubs who had identified Abraham, still Chelsea’s joint-top scorer this season with 12 goals in all competitions, as a ‘possible target’.

The latest

If Ornstein is correct, the Magpies won’t break their transfer record to sign Abraham. That currently stands at £39.6m, the fee they paid to sign Joelinton from Hoffenheim in 2019.

Leicester City and Aston Villa would also be priced out of such a move, although West Ham United are said to be pushing for a solution and will apparently try to bring him on loan instead. [The Athletic]

Ornstein raises doubts about that possibility given that Abraham has only two years left on his deal, meaning he would probably have to agree to an extension before making a temporary exit, while he would take ‘some convincing’ to put pen to paper.

The verdict

Newcastle’s hopes of signing Abraham may not have been totally extinguished. If the striker is determined to leave Chelsea, the Blues may have to lower their asking price, as it’s clear that their present demands are unrealistic.

It could be argued, though, that the striker position shouldn’t be the focus of Newcastle’s investment this summer. Callum Wilson has netted 12 Premier League goals in 2020/21 and Allan Saint-Maximin completes an already potent frontline.

It certainly seems that the Magpies’ transfer kitty could be more wisely spent elsewhere than lashing out £40m+ on Abraham.

أوضح فيرجيل فان دايك، لاعب ليفربول الإنجليزي، حديثه مع حكم المباراة أمام تشيلسي، بعد إلغاء هدف جويل ماتيب لوجود تسلل على الهولندي، مؤكدًا أنه لم يفهم السبب واستشهد بكرة مشابهة في مباراة مانشستر يونايتد وبيرنلي.

وفاز ليفربول على تشيلسي بركلات الترجيح (11-10) في نهائي كأس كاراباو في مباراة انتهى وقتها الأصلي والإضافي بتعادل سلبي، مع إلغاء أربعة أهداف بواقع اثنين لكل فريق بداعي التسلل.

وقد تم إلغاء هدف ماتيب بسبب تسلل على فيرجل الذي أعاق ريس جيمس وكان متسللاً لذلك اُعتبر الهدف ملغيًا بقرار من الحكم ستوارت اتويل وحكم الفار دارين اينجلاند.

وقال فان دايك في تصريحاته لـ”سكاي سبورتس” عقب المباراة: “شعور خاص جدًا، كان هناك الكثير من العمل الشاق، وهو ما توقعناه قبل المباراة”.

وأضاف: “الكثير من الأعصاب الهادئة، لقد كانت مباراة مكثفة وكانت أهداف التسلل أيضًا وهذه القاعدة المتمثلة في الاستمرار في اللعب ثم رفع الراية، الأمر مزعج، إنه شيء يتعين علينا التفكير فيه للموسم المقبل”.

What’s the talk?

That’s according to a statement posted on the official Middlesborough website, where the North East club have confirmed that the 26-year-old shot-stopper would be joining up with Neil Warnock’s side upon the expiry of his QPR contract next month.

In reaction to the announcement, Warnock said: “I’m delighted to have signed Joe. I’ve always rated him highly and I look forward to him joining us. I know he’s excited about coming here and he can’t wait to play in front of the Riverside crowd.”

Bhatia disaster

While Lumley has by no means been a regular in Mark Warburton’s first team at QPR this season, there are a number of arguments the can be made as to why allowing the ‘keeper to leave west London is something of a disaster for the Rs.

When he has been called upon this season, the £7.1k-per-week man has highly impressed, as, over his five Championship appearances for the Hoops this year, the 26-year-old helped his side to keep three clean sheets, as well as winning 100% of both his ground and aerial duels, in addition to earning an average SofaScore match rating of 7.04 – ranking him as QPR’s joint fourth-best performer in the second tier.

As such, while it is clear that Seny Dieng is now Warburton’s first-choice shot-stopper, Lumley – who the 58-year-old manager himself dubbed as “outstanding” as well as an “example” to others in training – is an excellent backup to the Senegal international, as well as providing the 26-year-old with top drawer competition for his spot between the sticks.

On a related note, unless Warburton is planning on bringing in a new goalkeeper this summer, it appears as if Liam Kelly will be the number two at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium as of next season – a player who has not made a league appearance for the Rs since the back end of the club’s 2019/20 campaign.

Furthermore, considering Lumley is just 26 years of age, he is still rather young in relation to a goalkeeper’s footballing career, meaning that he very much has time to improve as a shot-stopper, something that QPR will now no longer see the benefit of.

Finally, with Lumley joining one of QPR’s Championship rivals in Middlesborough, there is an obvious feeling amongst other teams that the ‘keeper can do a job in the league, while the possibility of the 26-year-old coming back to haunt the Rs in a second-tier fixture is now a very real one.

As such, it appears as if Amit Bhatia letting Lumley leave QPR this summer is indeed a mistake and is a decision that the Rs could very much come to regret come next season.

The Verdict: Offers should arrive

At 32, and with a cruciate ligament injury in the past, Berardi may not be snapped up by a top club this summer, but there should still be suitors coming his way.

A solid right-back with 157 appearances to his name, the veteran could potentially be snapped up a Championship club, proving to be a good signing if he can stay fit. He sent a reminder of his talent with his performance against West Brom, winning three headers and one tackle against the Baggies.

He will be remembered a strong servant and a fans’ favourite for Leeds, particularly in the years before Bielsa’s arrival, when he was a regular starter.

ويقترب عقد محمد صلاح على الانتهاء مع ليفربول وتحديدًا في، 30 يونيو 2023، ولم يتوصل الطرفان لاتفاق يقتضي بتوقيع المصري الدولي على عقد جديد لاختلافات مادية.

يطلب محمد صلاح الحصول على أكثر من 400 ألف جنيه إسترليني كراتب أسبوعي، وهناك رفض من طرف ليفربول حتى لا يكسر سقف رواتب اللاعبين الحالي.
